Who does Sallyteach?

Sallyteach is for children aged five to twelve who have learning difficulties, learning disabilities or dyslexia.

Sally specialises in teaching children who have been diagnosed with Dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, Auditory processing problems, Dysgraphia and Dyspraxia or a combination of these.

In addition, Sally teaches mainstream children who have missed out on the basic building blocks of literacy in reading, writing and spelling and need an individualized program to catch up to their age appropriate level.

Sallyteach is situated in Elwood, Victoria which means that most of our children come from the Melbourne south-eastern region. This includes the bayside suburbs of Albert Park, St Kilda, Elwood, Brighton, Hampton, Sandringham, Black Rock, as well as Elsternwick, Moorabbin, Mentone, Highett and surrounding areas.

assessment at Sallyteach?

Is your child…

  • unable to read fluently in a phrased manner that sounds like talking
  • not wanting to read at home or making a big fuss when you suggest they do
  • unable to remember the sounds the letters in the alphabet make
  • having difficulty learning to spell
  • writing words that do not sound at all like the words they want to write

  • finding it hard to write their ideas down on paper

More importantly is your child…

  • loosing their confidence
  • not wanting to go to school or finding it stressful to do so
  • acting up in class for no apparent reason
  • generally not coping or not being happy within themselves?

Most importantly…

  • has this been going on for a long time and is the school not listening to your concerns?
